Admissions Procedure

Gather Information

Archbishop Murphy High School hosted our annual Open House on Sunday, November 1, 2009. If you were unable to attend that day, please contact our Vice Principal/Director of Admissions, John Matusak, to set up a campus visit: jmatusak@am-hs.org.

Visit the School while in Session

Students seriously considering admission to Archbishop Murphy High School are encouraged to visit the school for a half or whole day. Visiting gives prospective students the opportunity to spend time with potential classmates and teachers, observe classes in action and learn more about student life at Archbishop Murphy High School. Complete the Application Process

The completed application and all other required forms should be returned to AMHS with a $25 application fee (checks made out to "AMHS") by January 14, 2010.

Take the Placement Examination

All candidates applying for admission to grade 9 are required to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Applicants must register for the exam online by visiting the ISEE website (www.iseetest.org), and must register no later than November 14, 2009. The exam fee is $89.

Scheduled test dates at AMHS are:

Saturday, December 5, 2009 ▪ 9:00am ─ 12:30pm
Sunday, December 6, 2009 ▪ 1:00pm ─ 4:30pm
