Online Computer Fundamentals

This course combines an analysis of basic computer
operation with daily skills practice. Focus is on the Microsoft office suite,
consisting of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. The rudimentary nature of the
course material, along with an independent study atmosphere, makes this course
ideal for beginning users as well as experienced users wanting to broaden an
existing skill base. This class is offered as an online course through Moodle,
but students will be required to meet face-to-face with the instructor once per
week.

Art History I

Online Art History is a combination of independent
study, research, decision making, and art production. This course will survey
Western art, non-Western art, art appreciation, and world historical events as
they relate to art history. Students will choose from a menu of assignments they
can complete for each chapter that may include reading and assignments from the
text book, reviewing and critiquing web sites, viewing and analyzing maps and
timelines, participating and reporting on video games, and creating artistic
works. This course will consider art from early man through Romanesque and
Gothic art. Students will meet with the instructor during the first week of
school and on an as-needed basis to create artistic works.
